Zahra Claire Baker went missing from her home on Sat. from Hickory, N.C. ~ 10-9-2010

Police said an Amber Alert is still in effect for the 10-year-old girl.
Zahra Claire Baker has:
brown hair and blue eyes
she is 5'1" tall
weighs 85 pounds
She has a left prosthetic leg
and is hearing impaired


If anyone has information on Zahra's whereabouts they are asked to call the Hickory Police Department at 828-328-5551 or 911.

10/28/10: Chief Adkins in a news interview has released information that evidence has been found, that they are waiting for serial number confirmation. Chief Adkins made a brilliant move by arresting Elisa Baker and keeping her in jail while the investigation is on going. This is keeping her from the media hounds and communicating with any one else who may be involved. The FBI is working the case.

This is what I think. She was killed in the home...body taken with one car to the wood chipper....then what was left in the chipper was taken back to the house in another car...then that was burnt in the fire

If I was an inmate where this stepmother is I'd pay top dollar for a tube sock and a padlock. I heard that the pig has played sick many times, telling lots of people she had cancer over the years when she didn't, she just wanted sympathy. That sob is gonna find out the meaning of pain.

what sickens me, is that people knew about this and knew something was going on and never said anything. Its disgusting. If you suspect a child being abused or mistreated SPEAK THE HELL UP or their going to end up like Zahra.
