Awesome Vid man! You looked great out there. Do you think your understeer might have something to do with the rake/trail. Does anyone make Triples for that bike yet so you can play around with your offset?

@Turbo329
Thanks Turbo. The understeer is mostly related to the spring rate of the shock and rear linkage geometry; it's an issue with finishing the corners after the apex while on the throttle - turn in and mid corner are fine. I've aquired an alternate linkage and some setup data to see if this can be addressed.

Great Video! I also owe you a big thanks for your 2008 cbr race bike built site. I wrecked my 2009 "Repsol" 2 weeks ago on the Shenandoah Circuit during a track day, and decided to rebuild it into a race bike. Your website has been extremely helpful!! I ordered the same carbon air funnels. I'm can't wait to get them installed...still waiting for them to arrive. I'll be doing the WERA race school on 9/17 and then racing on 9/18.

Very cool, man - glad the website's helped you out. We'll be down @ Summit that weekend too from Friday - Sunday. Stop on by the pit, just look for the green Kawi #912.

Great Video! YOu are hitting the apexes well... I just purchased a new 2011 ZX10 but tucked the front at about 75mph at Texas World Speedway..(didnt have the right front spring for my weight) Oh well.. It looks like you have yours dialed in pretty good!

Thanks for the props. Regarding spring rates for the new 10, you'll definitely want to go a rate higher then you normally would for the rear shock as well; it needs a stiffer spring then normal because of the way the shock's mounted in the frame and how the linkage exerts pressure on the spring. I tore a rear tire up pretty good at Mid-O with a TTX shock because the tire was absorbing excessive squat. Went up a spring rate higher then normal and the problem was solved-Good luck!
