This video demonstrates the preparation and use of Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections in combination with Hackett-Hemwall Prolotherapy for a knee injury as performed by Dr. Ross Hauser at Caring Medical & Rehabilitation Services in Oak Park, Illinois. Dr. Hauser treats patients from around the globe with Hackett-Hemwall Prolotherapy and has found it is an excellent alternative to knee surgery, NSAID treatment, and cortisone injections. If you would like to see our other videos on Prolotherapy, or would like to email us to see if Prolotherapy can help your knee pain, please visit www.caringmedical.com. Prolotherapy can be used in almost all painful knee conditions and injuries, including: meniscal tear, knee tendinosis, osteoarthritis, degenerative joint disease, tendon injury, ligament injury, ACL injury, anterior cruciate ligament tear, MCL, injury, medial collateral ligament tear, iliotibial band injury, sports injuries, and knee joint instability.

  • Why is that machine next to a garbage can????

  • @BaybeeDoll84 There needs to be a close place to dispose of the kit supplies during and after PRP preparation.

  • i got my prp on my knee (patella tendon) for my jumpers knee about 2 months ago, and its still pretty sore and still hurts when i just...i was just wondering how much longer the prp takes to fully take effect and take the pain away...thanks!!!

  • @YanWeezy19 Thanks for your comment. If you had Prolotherapy/PRP at Caring Medical, please contact us directly so we can look at your case and give you specific recommendations. If you had PRP in another office, I would advise the same. In our experience, PRP done with Prolotherapy, is typically done every 4-6 weeks for an average of 3-6 treatments (some less, some more), depending on how severe the joint damage is. We wish you the best. Hope you're feeling better soon!

  • @skinkisd Lol that's probably something taught in med school, to a non-medic it looks out of place. Thanks!!!

  • I found my doctor thru getprolo.com (Dr. Monagle in Larkspur, CA). Thanks Dr. Hauser for posting all these videos and research on your website. I got 5 treatments of Prolozone and a 6th treatment of PRP in conjuction with Prolozone, and now I believe my torn meniscus has regenerated!

  • Can any body tell me if this is offered in Australia to treat meniscus tears? I’ve tried looking for it but it seems to only be offered in cosmetics.
