When a cop is shot it's like a brother being shot so any police officer who hears officer down they drop and go state troopers, detectives, swat, police in any surrounding area come.

@Chex55755 not necessarily. whichita is a pretty big city. its ususally standard protocol/common courtesy among police agencies to respond when they're in the surrounding area. it puts more officers in the area to look for the suspect. the city goes on full alert. the state troopers are required to respond because they'll be investigating the shooting. sheriffs already patrol the area so they go on full alert. its quite the sight to see.
