Dark Eyes.
In the darkness I sat, staring, waiting, visions of home, visions of loved ones running through my head.
Then the sound of thunder and his footsteps came nearer.
He stood before me now.
I looked into his dark eyes and said, "I am not ready.
I will not go with you today."
His cold empty face drew near to mine.
"Do what you must for now, his reply came to me in a whisper.
"There are others I can take today. I will be back for you someday.
Now remember this day forever until I returned for you."
He turned away, then disappeared into the darkness.

This is just me ( Tuneacellocgda) 44 years ago. I was a No Hero / 19 year old wise guy with a gun and a camera. I had free lodging with all the food and water I wanted with free transportation & helicopter rides & free entertainment. We all celebrated the 4th of July everyday & never ever had to buy firecrackers.
Funny , now at 63 I've haven't changed much, just take away the gun and free helicopter rides.
I apologize for the poor video quality. The original film I shot was badly deteriorated before I could convert it to digital..
Joe.

Great music and pix. Thanks for putting this on Youtube. Some of those shots were reminders of what seems like another life long ago. Phrog driver, HMM-263 Marble Mountain, 1970-71.

Thank you, Joe. Your music elevates the emotional affect of the video, probably because it comes from your heart and mind, both of which were no doubt forever impressed by what was wittnessed over there. Thank you for your service, for this video, for your music, and for your friendship. I hope the pretty lady in the red dress has reasons to smile today, that she still has that dress, or at least a handful of the sparkly sequins in a little box, secreted away in a safe place. Thanks again.
