Cxi tiu estas unu kanto de tibeto, kiu prikantas tibetajn, belegajn montojn kaj fortan specon de spirito.
Jen la kantoteksto:
"Kiu portas al ni praan vokon?
Kiu forlasis miljaran esperon?
Cxu ekzistas senvorta kanto
- aux porcxiama kaj firma memoro?
O! Vidas mi arajn montegojn, montegaron.
Vidas mi arajn montegojn, kunligitajn!
'Jalaso'* Eble Cxinzan-platajxo.

*Religia frazo (mantro) de la tibeta lingvo.

Mi pensas ke tibeto enhavas multe da religiaj veroj kaj sinceraj sekvantoj. Sed eble vi vidis iuj monahxoj, kiuj estas iom stranga. Cxu ili estas vera monahxoj? Cxu ili vere amas Dion? Mi skribis pri tion cxi tie, eble vi trovigxos ke la informo interesas:

Pardonu, nun mi devas krokodili, por lasi miaj familianoj kaj amikoj, kiuj ne povas paroli E-on kompreni pli:

This is a video by William and myself (of the Nanjing Bromies Cult), singing a translation of 青藏高原, the popular song which either emanated from Tibet with redacted lyrics - or simply created recently in the Tibetan style. I didn't sing it in the Tibetan style, so maybe you'll find it more Western and not very exotic. The lyrics were translated by myself, then revised with Birke while I was participating in the Esperanto program called SES in Slovakia. Many thanks to bromie William for humming and taping, and many thanks to Birke. Hope everyone enjoys it!

English trans:

did they send a cry from antiquity
did they leave a thousand-year prayer
is there really a song without words?
oh but it is an unforgettable love
ah, I see mountains
oh there they are
they rise endlessly
ya la so,that is the Tibetan Plateau
have they looked endlessly into the blue sky
have they wished to live in a dream forever
is there really a song to describe this?
oh but it is an immovable splendor
ah, I see mountains
oh there they are
they rise endlessly
ya la so,that is the Tibetan Plateau

  • What is the song about?

  • It's a song praising the beauty of the Himilayas, with various references to spirituality, religion and tradition.

  • Very good song! I have heard some say that esperanto as an artificial language contains no real "spirit" and are less suited for the arts, but this song goes against this saying.

  • Most songs sound better in Esperanto. Esperanto less of a new thing than it is a regeneration of the ancient. Also it has a flexible word order, so in translation I can make more things rhyme and match the rhythm than with other languages.

  • Sounds beautiful! Reminds of me of the Himalayas and China!

  • Belege, Jano! Vi estas vere unika kaj mirinda homo. Mi tre esperas, ke ni iam denove renkontiĝos. Amon!

  • The song itself confirms what you say, there is almost like an ethereal charge in it, like a revoked memory of long forgotten places and stories.
