As part of my work for Remedy (http://www.remedylimited.com) i've been looking for ways to improve the performance and reliability of the Opensim software (http://www.opensimulator.org/). This is an example of one of the ways in which we've been able to achieve that.

I reworked the texture processing module of opensim, and I've been very successful, achieving the following results:
- Increased texture load speed by 200-300%
- Increased packet efficiency greatly
- Shaken the texture clog issue where textures stopped being delivered
- Implemented texture priorities properly
- Reduced memory usage by a LOT
