I bet you can defuse a british bomb by pouring tea on it

The scary part is 1.8 MT isn't even that powerful when it comes to H-bombs. The US exploded one that was 15 MT, the Russians did one at 57 MT.

i have a twisted sense of humor i chuckled a little watching those soldiers standing there staring in awe then see them shit in their pants when the concussion blast hit em

@CRTukker Perhaps editing the caption to fit the title and video content would eliminate confusion. The video and title isn't about their first atomic device, but their first hydrogen bomb. Just a suggestion. Thanks for the video upload though. Cheers

@TheMETALHEAD249 what he means is light travels faster than sound
-
I wonder how many of those guys developed health issues after watching this?
-
@CRTukker Correct. Light is much faster than sound.
The British didn't detonate a hydrogen bomb until 1957-1958. Please edit the caption.

@productetc You should read the caption instead maybe? It states that the first nuclear bomb made by the UK was detonated in 1952, nowhere i state it was a H-Bomb in 1952.

One thing i don't understand is why would the bang sound later on? Can someone explain to me

@TheMETALHEAD249 Sound only travels with +/- 333 m/s. You will first see the explosion and then the bang, the further you are away from the explosion, the longer it will take to hear the explosion.
