Footage from the first five miles of the 2010 VCGP. It was super fun, I'll definitely be going back again! It was my first race ever. I was filming with a GoPro HD HERO attached to my chest protector. Unfortunately I broke the clip off the camera when I was in the huge bottleneck at the end of the video, I leaned over to check my front tire and busted it on the handlebars. So I didn't get to film the last 20 miles of the course, stupid mistake.

That was a good pace, I ran it 20 years ago and will try to do it this year, VCGP is the funnest race ever.

I don't there was a place I didn't crash. I was not prepared for that and I learned I need to run a whole lot less rear tire pressure. Felt like I was towing an anchor up those hills. Also noticed trials tires were on some of the bikes like the winning woman.

That's a good camera angle for offroad, really shows the effort involved on one of these rocky courses. Looks like yer about to smack the bars!

I like this point of view as well, much more dynamic than a floating head. You're able to get the trail ahead plus the feedback from the bike. The bike is a 200sx that's been modified for woods riding.

Wow, great vid! A buddy of mine is doing this race this year. He is stoked. Looks like a blast. Too bad your clip broke on the camera!
