A few weeks ago, we at Holiday World "loaned out" the coaster track at The Raven for our friends at The Gravity Group to try out the prototype of their Timberliner train. It was great fun to watch the testing and see their delighted faces. They took their toy and went back to Cincinnati and the PTC trains are back on our tracks for the season.

  • Me personally? No. Oh...the park? I honestly don't know. Sorry.

  • I could watch this all day, just stare at those trains, the wheel assembly, and so forth. Yet, I have no interest in cars(automobiles). This is my geekdom right here.

  • Are you going to buy these for 2010?

  • @PHAEDRIDER - I disagree, I road the Wooden Warrior which have these trains and you would be surprised how comfortable they are. Not only can they accommodate larger guests, who get left out by PTC, and Intamin, but they make for a smoother ride, and deliver on the airtime.

Now Wooden Warrior is a junior woodie, not as fast or aggressive as The Raven, or Voyage, but I think once you ride these trains you will change your view.

  • this is the wooden coaster enthusiasts worst nightmare ..

  • Woo hoo! Timberliners for Voyage! I hope the renderings aren't the most accurate, because they look a bit odd... like too round. But how high are the backrests on the new trains? I don't want a disturbed view either.

  • they just confirmed that they are getting them for the Voyage today! Check it out on the HoliBlog! They look awesome.

  • I hope not, I have been going to Holiday World for a long time now, and I think the PTC trains are very comfortable and are a "trade-mark" of sorts for Holiday World's coasters. Love the park, great job guys, keep up the good work.

  • that must've been a fun day
