Do you use ScummVM to run Myst? Is it in a state to be playable? I tried it before and got bugs with the Channelwood age, but with the classic version. I do not have the ME version, that is said to work better.

@stuehleruecker No, I'm playing it in a virtual machine with VMWare Player. The Masterpiece Edition needs some additional video codecs that aren't implemented yet in ScummVM, so half the videos don't show up.

wow i thought the voiceover at the start with the story was part of the game, maybe i'm too used to expecting scratchy mic crackle and nerds that sound like a mix between napoleon dynamite & spongebob squarepants
