balance the tail rotor, main rotor, and swash assembly

Gyro gain is too high. I see this fairly often just before lift off. The tail rotor is running smooth and is not the problem.

In all the dozens of professional setup videos, tutorials and manuals I've looked through, I've never seen it said that the tail rotor needs to be balanced. I might weigh the tail blades to make sure one isn't WAY heavier than the other due to a manufacturing defect, but doing the whole balancing routine on them? I'd like to see proof that this is required.

It's not vibrations, it's oscillations. Not a balance problem.

yeah raptorfreak is right you gryo loks way to senstive

i think you might need more umf! to lean .. maybe?

balance tail rotor
-
lower the gain on your gyro it might do the trick!

maby your shaft of the tail rotor is bend a little
maby you can not see it but at high velosetys it will vibrate i got the same on a micro rc helicoter
i buyed one for fun but the blades flyed against the stair case en now its bend an it vibrate realy hard when i try to fly it
Check to make sure your tail rotor is balanced. Also what gyro are you running, you want it to be set up correctly. I would suggest taking your heli to a local club to get it looked over by an experienced heli pilot before you let er rip.

taa mate.. we actually discovered what the snag was shortly after posting the vid... The tail control rod was insuffeciently supported at one particular point causing vibration along the rod, that in turn was moving the tail rotor... the gyro was constantly tring to counter-react the action resulting in the 'Wobble' seen in the vid.. still cheers for the pointer..
