Did you use equalizer software with sampled audio or did you code it to do that and add the audio later when you were editing using software to upload to youtube?

I've been looking for a project like this. I've been wanting to make something like this housed in a couple of towers connected to my stereo. I see 5 LEDs so I'm guessing it's 5 channels. I want to make it with a total of 16 channels, 8 channels per tower. Would you be willing to share source code and maybe schematics?

hey does anyone know the second song towards the end of the video?
and why do the audio processing in the arduino? wouldnt it make more sense to do it at the PC, and for the PC to parse signals?
