Thats looks like a good job, well done. I thought it was going to take off when you started the lathe up, the spindle speed looks more like 3600rpm on the film! Just an illusion obviously.

@shayebmh , Drill and tap the rectangular metal piece to fit the spindle threads. Put spindle in chuck clamping on the end you want to machine first. Turn on lathe and very slowly and carefully centerdrill rectangular block that is wobbling. Now you can un-chuck spindle, pull it out and clamp on round threaded fixture and put live center in the piece you just centerdrilled. Don't forget to tighten set screws on the flats of spindle!! Hope this helps.

What's your spindle speed with that setup?

I had it turning 360 rpm. Any faster and the lathe starts to shake somewhat. Based on the color of the chips, that is fast enough. Pretty good metal in those spindles, yes sir. Thanks for the kind remarks.
