I agree it is a right, but we are privileged to be able to exercise it so freely. And many people exercise it TOO freely. Rights always demand responsibility; "to whom much is given" and whatnot. If people exercise their freedom w/o any thought for others who might possibly be harmed by their actions, that ceases to be real freedom, which implies the exercise of the will or - GASP! - the conscience! And I agree that *sometimes* people need to be offended, but that's not the norm.
