Lucky she is a cop. think of all the LA citizens who cant fight back and are victoms becouse POS lawmakers think Guns are bad. The only ones who suffer and are affected by gun laws are the law abiding people of America. The crooks have guns nomatter what law is made. Thankfully i live in a state that says i can shoot when i feel threatend. and guess how many i have shot?? non. becouse i use comon sense and reasoning. Good job Stacey.

"Amyone in the same position would have probably done the same thing" is what she said. Too bad that in L.A. the citizen don't have the luxury of being able to legally drive or walk around with a loaded handgun. We're not allowed to fight back. Resistence is futile. You will be victimized.

@PhuzzyGnu, it's an interesting fact that most states (and countries) who have strong anti-gun laws are some of the most dangerous places as suppose to those with a gun friendly culture, which are the safest. No better example of this than El Paso, Texas and Juarez, Mexico.

Staring down the barrel of a 357 and she S T I L L ordered the shooter to "drop the weapon" before engaging the threat. Death is typically the logical consequence of such generosity.

Good for the officer. If only the citizens of the state of California were afforded the same right of self defense.
The bad guy in this story was not constrained by the illegality of his actions. He didn't care that he couldn't legally own a handgun. He didn't care that he couldn't legally carry that gun.
Who pays the price of gun control? The unarmed law-abiding citizen. Criminals, by definition, don't care about the word of law.

I absoulty agree with you PhuzzyGnu. It is getting better though. How many states had CCW when you were born?
