What happens when you throw together 181 contemporary artists from 51 countries and ask them to individually reinterpret the Mona Lisa? You get The Gioconda Project, that's what. It's a not-for-profit experiment where contributing artists have joined forces to bring contemporary art to everyone through a free exhibition at the W3Gallery in Acton, West London. Traditional painting and drawing will be showcased next to illustration, collage, mark making and digital art from 25 February to 5 March 2014. The exhibition is free to attend.
