She is a married lady and this means thinking @ our childrens future without parents. Is it assured that her next move would be a safer bet. Its not forgiving but its how marriages r kept alive. I agree that it is sick & K.K. Menon makes it more intensively sick with his aggression. Kids... Its the future of the kids that depend a lot on marriage. Will the kids accept their new father? what will they learn from their parents about commitments towards marriage ? Its a long interdependant chain

@uaesucks I totally agree with u on this.... Breaking 1 realtionship to form another sounds easy but may not be so... If shikha had gone off with Aakash who knows a few years later how that wud turn out...Marraige means commitment and compromises, and always a lot more is required from the woman's side.... In this movie it is not Shikha the wife who stays back but Shikha The mother...

@saima3202 Yes It is sikha the mother who stays back. The impact of seperate parents have a very bad influence on the kids. That is where US culture comes in where the kid himself has a tough time figuring out his real father. Where are you from ? I like your thoughts!

@uaesucks I agree. For entertainment purposes where we beleive in fantasy and perfect love, sure she should have gone with Aakash and he would have been a perfect husband to her and good to her daughter. In real life though, its much more complicated than that, forget about cultural stereotype and male dominance. Either way I think this movie teaches us a lot about love and commitment.

It's a very sensitive and realistic movie about relationships. Also liked the bit of Bollywood masala at the end, the ghodi and train and all, it went with the flow!

But I agree that Shikha should have left her husband, whether she went with Akash or not. Her husband was simply a selfish lout and not worth it. And he didn't come back to her because he was sorry, he came back because the other girl left him! He would be a bad example even for their child.

Frankly this movie is treats Indian relationships like the west concept of the relationship, the whole office sleeping with someone for career promotions is not how indians thinking, how many plp have really slept with thier boss to get a promotion!

Marriage gone sour looking for external relationships also alien to indian context, well even in metro upper class women living in metros.

So this movie is taking a westen family concept trying it out in Indian context.
