That is a high end camp. We used to go to Moremi and camp out in tents.
Yes there are lions there. And elephants galore. We even went swimming in the okavango while someone kept watch for crocs!

We were there august 2008 just for drinks, we stayed with a friend of ours Piet vd Grift, who owns Sunrise motors at Maun. When we were the waterlevel was very high

Safe? No. There are crocs, snakes, and a billion or creatures that could kill you. The risk must be measured. (I'm sure there are lions too but I didn't recall seeing any.) Aren't you going there knowing the risks? It IS pretty primative except for several high-end camps which have the money to "control" which animals enter their perimeter.
