George Hrab has a rather annoying crosswalk just outside his apartment. He ventures out with the Olympus LS-10 to show us what it sounds like when you press the button to cross the street

  • @MaghoxFr You can definitely plug a mic in via 1/8 inch input. No phantom power, however.

  • @OlympusAudio it's a great review, I'm doing a little research because I want to buy a camcorder for filmmaking, decent filmmaking and sound is very important. A field recorder is kind of out of my budget for now, because I have to get a decent video mic too. But this handheld recorders might be a good choice if I can plug the mic to it.

  • @MaghoxFr Thanks for the props. So far there are only a few of those crosswalks that I know of in the area. Not certain why those particular locations were selected although I do know of a few blind people in the area. They are quite loud but considering the benefit it's no bother.

  • @OlympusAudio wow, never heard of those, must be a bit annoying though. Are those all over the city? Good that a city is designed to make the life of the people with disabilities easier.

cheers, and great review by the way

  • @MaghoxFr It is, in fact, a crosswalk for the blind. I've never seen them before I worked in Bethlehem either. It is that incredible loud beeping that alerts the blind to walk.

  • is that crosslight for blind people? if not, why does it talk? if so, ho's the blind person know there is a walking person symbol?

  • whats that music you have when you are walking down the stairs LOL
