Chasing Pavements ; A Nelena Story 3x52 Part Two

Part Two:
My eyes widened. "Y-you still love her?"

"I don't know. But it looks as if she doesn't want me anyways. That's why she became single. So I tried to move on. And I met Taylor. She made me happy. She made me think of something besides the fact that Demi was against with the fact of dating me." he said, shrugging his shoulder.

Crap. They both still love each other, and they don't even know it. And obviously, I can't say anything because it'll just ruin it all. And probably end up hurting one of the three of them. Taylor being the third person.


"Oh.." I said, speechless.

"So are you going to tell me what the hell is going on?" he said, plainly.

"No. Because I don't really know anything." I lied. But it was obvious I wasn't telling him the truth.

"Oh, so you have no idea why you went outside to comfort Demi?" he said sarcastically.

"W-what? A friend can't just be there for someone? I'm not the nosey type, Joseph. I'm just there for someone. So if they want, they t-tell me what's wrong." I said, nervously, hoping he would buy it.

"So the fact that you two are best friends has nothing to do with the fact that you don't tell each other what's wrong? That's something new and interesting." he said, rolling his eyes.

"Joe! Ugh, you're so annoying. Look, you'll find out for yourself, one day or another. I don't want to be the one to tell you because it's not my problem." I said, annoyed with him.

"Uh, okay." he said widening his eyes at how drama-queen esque I was acting.



I stomped my way back to the room, shutting the door on Joe. And fell back on my bed, gently, trying not to wake anyone up. You have no idea how much I wanted to tell Demi that Joe still loved her. And what was going on to Joe.


"Something the problem?" said someone's voice.

"JOE, HOW THE HELL DID YOU GET IN HERE-- Oh." I said, angrily, but suddenly realizing that I was talking to Nick. "Er, sorry about that."

"Why'd you think I was Joe?" he said.

"I was just talking to him, outside." I said, simply. I eyed Demi, who seemed like she was actually sleeping. Making sure she wasn't pretending and was eaves dropping or something.

"Oh," Nick suddenly made sure Demi wasn't listening like I did. "You didn't tell him anything right?"

"Nope." I sighed. "I wanted to. But I pretended to be you." I said.

"What? Why?" he said, confused.

"Well, not exactly LIKE you. But think of what you would do. Because you really don't do anything wrong." I said, shrugging.

"Oh," he snickered. "I'm perfect, aren't I?"

I shoved him and he fell back on the bed, waking Demi up.

"You guys are so annoying. Jeez." she said, sitting up.


I smiled, knowing exactly what to do next. I made my way to the windows and pulled the shutters up. The light beamed from the window, shining in Demi and Nick's direction. They started to pretend like they were dying of the sun light. The sun would do them good in the morning.


"Aaghhh!" Nick and Demi groaned in unison. They faced each other, and hugged each other to block the sun.

"I think I just went blind." Nick whined, his voice muffled while hugging Demi. I jumped in the bed and joined the 'group hug'.


Only 30 minutes left, I thought.

I'd miss this for the next two weeks.
