When it comes to kitchen floors....it's a "must" to seal the natural stone tile. Sealing the natural stone tiles in a kitchen, will make it easier to clean the floors...as well as to prevent "stains" to soak up into your natural stone tiles. Hi Joe, brilliant video, extremely useful. Have you any tips on how to clean an unsealed slate floor? It is mainly limescale that is the problem - my friend wasn't informed by the builder that the tiles hadn't been sealed!

@johnb415 Congratulations on your condo purchase. Yes, you can get the sealer at Home Depot. Talk to someone in the paint department & tell them what kind of flooring you have & they will make some suggestions as to which sealer would work the best for your flooring areas, as the selaer I used may not necessarily be the best selaer for you to use...different sealers for different floors. i just bought a condo that was renovated. i went through the walk through and the agent told me without any detail that I will need to buy some tile sealer and seal the tile in the bathroom on the wall and the floor. he also said the same thing about the kitchen floor which is tile. i dont really know where to go with this since i am very ignorant when it comes to home stuff. is this something i can just go to home depot to get or do i need to go to a paint store? thanks for helping

@johnb415 I used Jasco Gloss Wet Look Cure Seal. Since I put this sealer on a rough floor surface, I was not concerned about someone slipping on it. There are different sealers for different floor surfaces...make sure you use what is appropriate for you. My floor came out looking like a satin finish since the floor was rough stone. I would've used something else if the floor was a smooth travertine as an example. Consult your hardware or paint store before purchasing your sealer. Good luck! :0
