The Smashing Pumpkins' new release is "Oceania," their first full-length album in five years. The band's leader Billy Corgan stopped by the Off Duty studios to discuss the new music and lyrics, his take on the recording industry and the band's plans to tour North America.

Longtime pumpkins fan since the 90's. Saw them play last December: awesome show. But Oceania is not pumpkins. Corgan knows it, and that's why every interview he tells people they need to move forward (cause he cant hit the same notes, he is the only member left) and accept new stuff. Sometimes you gotta take a Zero.. and accept your new stuff sucks. Pumpkins ended years back and now he's milking the pumpkins name as one-man show/solo career, with a few background musicians. Need a new band name.

Read Billy's Biographies... He himself says it's a Port Wine Birthmark since birth. He's always had it and was teased as a child. This is why Billy always wore long selves.

Don't believe it.. it is a Port Wine Stain Birthmark...Billy himself has acknowledged it in biographies as a birthmark and was teased as a child. It covers the entire length of his left arm to his hand. These kind of birthmarks are possible, my friends little boy has one similar almost covering his entire back. Billy has always had it from birth... his very first band in the 80's was called "The Marked" because he and the drummer had unusual birthmarks. It is not a skin disease people <.<
