A brief look at the new, rugged Casio G'zOne Rock for Verizon Wireless. It includes a lot of features meant for outdoorsy types, including a compass and GPS features. More info: http://www.mobileburn.com/news.jsp?Id=8262

  • It looks feaking awesome in a way yet fugly in another

  • It is what I would call "rugged cool". Certainly not pretty, but still cool looking in a way that many men would like.

Top Comments

  • The lady presenting this phone called the proprietary charging port a "micro SD port". Did they just pick her up off the street? I love how after she was corrected she finally just shut up.

  • The girl who demoed the phone wasn't very well informed. All the more "advanced" knowledge of the phone came from Michael. Great first look.

  • @mobileburn agree,. casio Tough Phones are great! BUT THEY WUD BE BETTER IF THERE WERE NO HINGES AND OTHER MOVING PARTS. Make them like candy bar phones or smart phones without the sliders. My Type S finally failed probably because of dust/sand abrading the seals in the hinge. Got a Boulder now.

  • @MifflinTenor :) Many companies do that; hire pretty models to show off their products at conventions. This time They do not even show her. Heck many female engineers who know their products have voices as good as hers, if not better. LOL!

Anyway, I swear by my Casio Tough Phones.

  • @ 3:25, yes use the fingernail.

  • 1:22 It has a pedometer? lol

  • hows the phone service on it is it better than sprints bc i got sprint and it blows

  • Ive had mine for about 6-7months....its not a droid x, but a great durable basic phone with G'zGear. Very nice for an outdoors person who is in the elements etc.. My Rock has been tossed in the pool, bounced off the sidewalk, used in the rain, cold snowy weather.....bounced around on muddy ATV rides still performs as new. Battery life very close to the rated 300mins talk time.
