Every song in In Ear Park is solid. You described The Cold Nose perfectly though.

these songs seem to come so naturally to daniel rossen. he gets such power out of so few chords. frustrates the hell out of me as a fledgling songwriter.

As far as Department of Eagles goes, I wouldn't hesitate to say that their best song is "No One Does it Like You," but The Cold Nose (their first album, pre-Grizzly Bear I think) is also worth a listen - it's at times terribly ridiculous, but it has little shining gems scattered throughout - though it is quite different from Rossen's newer stuff though.

"Easier", "On a Neck on a Spit", and "Little Brother" from Yellow House, "Live With You" off of Veck, exactly half of all of Shields, and all of his other band, Department of Eagles' work (but especially their "Archives" record). That'd be a fair start.

Absolutley Beautiful. Very Thom Yorke-esque. Dan and Grizzly Bear just keep getting better and better.

If you're into the dreamier and psych-folk stuff you should definitely listen to Grizzly Bear's album Veckatimest. It's my personal favorite. But their second album (the one where Daniel Rossen joined the band) Yellow House is also really great. It's much more folk-y. I would recommend listening to On a Neck, On a Spit. Or if you're looking for something off their new album, which is more like Yellow House, than check out Gun-shy or Yet Again.
