CNN's Carol Costell Discusses Women in the TV News

Carol Costello, a CNN reporter for eight years, has covered many hurricanes -- Katrina, Charley, Frances, Ivan and Jeanne -- plus the massacre at Virginia Tech, the Asian tsunami and the Russian school hostage shootout. In this talk at Washington and Lee University, she examines issues related to women in journalism and TV news.

Currently a contributor to CNN's weekday show, "American Morning," Costello has interviewed presidents, given fitness tips to millions of viewers and carried the Olympic torch through the streets of Atlanta.

The title of the talk is "Women in TV News."

How could one not love Carol Costello? Her "Daybreak" program on CNN was the best morning TV show I ever saw. Her keen wit and infectious laugh made for a great way to start the day. She dosen't appear to take herself too seriously and I wish CNN would build their early morning show around her.
