apparently he's from a horror-themed visual novel released by Nippon Ichi on the PS2 only in Japan, judging from the box art it might be sorta like the ring

@mangagor If you choose the wrong answer from the first self question, it just loops back to the beginning of the self question. Also at some points both answers are correct, like both of the reasons they're demons (which, he doesn't really believe they're demons, but anyway). Also the after battle part both conclusions lead to the same thing.
