  • It is clearly Robert. And he is reciting a poem by the 17th Century poet, George Herbert by the same title...

  • @PiperbonesJ I SAID I STAND CORRECTED !!

What do you want me to do - kneel on chickpeas?

    Whip own back?

Or worse - listen to the whole of Phil Collins' Going Back ?!?

    :-D

    (Hi PBJ :-)

  • That's not Robert Fripp - his name was Ernie, and he drove the fastest milk-cart in the West.

  • @violentmorgan LOL

But really, this isn't Fripp - it's some poet guy who is friends with mr. Fripp.

Ging to ask a friend of mine for his name.

  • @Phobero Honestly I don't want to cause any confusion but when I downloaded this from the Discipline Global website, it said quite cleary in the interview with Robert Fripp that he was trying to get a middle ground between Benny Hill and a Dorset Reverend giving a sunday sermon.

  • @thebrotherjudas OK, it may be Fripp ;-)

I asked my friend (who gave me the tune, presumably taken from the same website) and he doesn't remember saying anything about it..

    So I stand corrected :-)

(Is there anything else PG-related on that website?).

  • sounds like mix of Ph.Glass Einstein on the beach and The Residents in mid seventies

  • What a beautiful little gem I found! I adore it!!

  • @Phobero well spoken.....imagine..... wasting one hour by listening to Phil.....UUUUUUUUU,,,,,ha ha ha .....

  • There is nothing "cockney" about the accent. it is totally Dorset.

  • @violentmorgan ACTUALLY, dig up the Cheerful Insanity Of Giles Giles Fripp on YouTube, their PRE-Crimson band who are actually CRAZY WACKY great. FRIPP does some vocals just like this. I would've recognized it as Fripp on vocals just from that. Seriously, I ignored Giles Giles Fripp for 20 years, and when I heard them I was pissed I hadn't checked them out sooner.

  • @PiperbonesJ Sounds a bit Shakespeare anyway.... But with cockney understones.

  • I can't make heads or tails of anything anyone here has said. But the guitar is unmistakably Frippian...

  • u guys are weak, and jelous, fripp is a genious, you will die of an horrible death, gbye.
