@gregory891 did you mean Derlin

I love machining delrin, we do mostly stainless parts for the food industry but we do do some plastic delrin parts also, love it.

you can do it on pro E or solid works. I think you can get student versions for cheap

@cag66 I know your question was a while back but Delrin is used quite successfully at making anti backlash nuts on hobbyists cnc mills and such . They get great results and the nuts last a long time. Not sure about in a produciton enviroment. Melts or becomes moldable around 300-350 degrees.

i hate machining delrin. today i was making delrin parts and i almost passed out from the formaldahide fumes produced from it. first i got burning eyes, then my throat burned a little, then i almost went down for the count when i removed my shades and walked away from the machine. i was like wow, that came on strong and fast. so watch out for that i guess.

Mill is approx 1994 model year. Rapids ~500ipm, spindle 10K rpm, Mitsubishi control. Not fast by modern measures but good for short production jobs.
I'm likely to need to make some bushings for an office chair (Castelli) and Delrin is the likely material. To do this as CNC, is there some software that can take the basic measurements and "draw" the part - mine looks like an oval bushing.

@gregory891
You might try Google's Sketchup for drawing your part.

do you get any inconsistencies in the shape due to expansion/contraction caused by heat?

No warping that I could measure with my dial calipers.
Delrin is easy to machine as long as the tools are sharp. HSS works better than carbide on plastics like Delrin, nylon, Teflon, etc.
