Showing more of the hacking. This time we have mostly dungeon dialogs. Of course, there are still some bugs with missing messages, the whole Paradigm X part uses temp dialogs, and there's no hacking done on the battle screen.

Speaking of battles, the sound glitches you can hear during attacks are caused but the emulator. They do not happen on real hardware and, surprisingly, on the PSP!

Here the full news: http://gemini.aerdan.org/?p=378

PS: Apparently I'm now enabled to upload anything longer than 15 minutes, so I've posted the whole thing as a single video. :D Sorry for the people who had commented the previous footages; they're not online anymore for simplicity's sake.

  • Oh yeah, can anyone tell me the font?

  • @nisbahmumtaz909: it has no name. It's a custom font.

  • Is this the PSX Devil Summoner or the PSP Devil Summoner?

If it's PSX, will you guys also be doing a PSP Translation as well?

Awesome translations! You guys are amazing! Thanks a lot for all your work and hope to see the release in the near future~!

  • @AndyN: there is no PSP version of Soul Hackers, so the answer is pretty obvious.

  • Will you move down the message later like this?:

    [Name]

    Message goes here

    ---- instead of

    [Name] Message begins here

  • @Raxqorz: no.

  • Gemini & Tom, i applaud you on working on this project. I bought the game itself back in May waiting for this. Thank you for all your hard work bringing these games to us.

  • @bajan13k

I've read a lot about this game, watched other Japanese trailers and I do have the Sega Saturn import that I fool around with. It truly is a unique game. The vision quests and locales are very intriguing.

  • I've been listening to the soundtrack of this game for years, can't wait until this is finally done.

  • I'm just too excited for playing this game.

  • Aside from the fact that you guys have worked on Innocent Sin, is there any reason why you guys didn't decide to work on the Sega Saturn port?

It seems like there is some nastiness with the PlayStation version.

What kind of things have seeped over from the Saturn ver. to the PlayStation?

  • For the sound glitches

    epsxe 1.50

  • "This is... as far as I can go? My story wasn't exactly a beautiful one... I lost everything when my family died. Back then, I thought there was no meaning to life at all. But I know it now... I know that I want to live." - Urabe. Tom/Gemini please keep that in the final version translation of Soul Hackers. I thought that was so well written I literally wanted to stand and give a round of an applause.

  • is there a compendium in this game?

    i sure hope so ...

  • This games looks great and because of your hard work, us Megaten fans will all be able to enjoy it in English finally. I wish I could convey my gratitude much more fully than with just a comment. I truly do appreciate your hard work and if I had millions of dollars, I would throw some your way for all of your tireless effort.

  • @Raxqorz He's nice enough to translate it for us in the first place.

    Don't be spoiled.

  • Any news?

  • It looks amazing! I want to thank you guys for bringing us al these japanese gems. And i want to thank you extra for bringing us innocent sin, I really enjoyed it!
