Don't get me wrong, some garbage came out in the 90s. But it's waaaaay harder to name those than all the classics that came out. The garbage from the 90s would surpass some of the stuff in the top 20 today.

99% of the "rappers" out now wouldn't get far in the 90s. I miss the "keepin' it real" element in Hip Hop! You had to have skills and RHYMING ability to to be hailed an MC in the 90s. A majority of the garbage being passed off as Hip Hop doesn't even make sense let alone rhyme. Hip Hop is an art form, nothing about today's rappers says "art". Just dumb!

All the hottest lyricist came out of the 90's. Nobody sounded the same and there was more originality. Better GRAPHICS. The business was putting out cats that had their own identity. NO INTERNET. NO RINGTONES. THEY had their radio play and their charisma. Now the radio stations play a cat until u get sick of hearing them. The money got in the way and changed things. They want 2 be that artist, not that hot mc. Money you spend and lose but lyrics are 4ever. ASK RAKIM. KRS1, P.E.
