Steam Locomotive Animation Test

Animation of a steam locomotive I did for a school project. The project is still in-progress, and this is the first render of the drivers functioning.

Since the most difficult part (the drivers) are animated, I'm going to finish modeling and animating the loco. The engine is the Norfolk and Western 611 and everything was done in Cinema 4d. The project is for an "exploded view", so I am in the process of modeling and animating the rest of the engine.

The loco will then be "exploded" out showing the interior workings, then pieced back together again.

Got to love the Iron Horse. It's a shame the only way I can see this magnificent machine in action is on my computer.

Looking really nice. I've got to animation a locomotive myself, but I'm not a C4D expert. Can you give me some pointers how you rigged this for animation? Any ideas to get me started would be awesome!
