Eddie Van Halen Guitar Solo - MGM Arena 30th December 2007. In the UK we have been so severely deprived of Van Halen that I had to fly over 5,000 miles to see these two Vegas Shows. I've been a Van Halen fan for most of my life. I know America is the big cash cow and the home market will always come first etc, but it was great to see Roth back at the helm, and this was the show I waited one hell of a long time to see! I hope Eddie's off-playing here is just a one off! Come back to Europe soon guys!!!

I was there too. And all for the low low price of $180 per ticket. I was mighty sad on many levels.

I was at this show, I was praying to God that the show would end quick so Ed wouldnt discgrace himself anymore. He was totally knackered.... By the last song they had mixed him out of the mix, it was just drums bass and keyboards.
You could see DLRs disppointment and Wolf and Alex;s concern.
Anyway Long live Clean EVH! The greatest!

This is by far the worst and crappiest solo, Eddie might have done ever..so sad to see he is destroying his own legend..no offense, but a player with 2 year experience can do the same kinda crap..

I was at that show. I couldn't believe how bad it was. He was fine until the drum solo. Then he came out totally hammered. He even screwed up Jump and the solo in I'll Wait. He go off time with the backing tracks and threw the whole band off. Sad.

Thank god he wasn't that bad when I saw him in Los Angeles in the same month. He practically sounds like one of those "shred" videos that are all over YouTube. In fact, the "shred" videos are better
