A fundamental principle of good animation is getting a sense of overlapping action (drag, overlap, lead & follow, etc.) In this video I try to get right down to the nuts and bolts of how it works- regardless of the medium. CG, hand drawn, stop-motion-- it's all the same when you understand what you're trying to do.

  • Amazing as always!

  • I don't know if you know it BUT~ for the first 5 min I have heard you repeat what it is you are going to do 4 times.~ Very annoying .

OTHERWISE~ Thanks .... Very helpful and interesting.

  • You r my new hero! Thanks so much for these tutorials.

  • Thankyou Godbless :)

  • the best thing about this video, is how INSANELY complicated you make this fundamental seem by drawing 900 diagrams to illustrate the concept.

hey aspiring animators, if your trying to come up with your next short film, might i suggest, Keith Lango illustrates the concept of Up and Down.

  • muchas gracias!!
