@MattTheSaiyan Wouldn't be surprised since some of those other computers like the Commodore just came as the computer itself with no monitor unless you chose to buy one (or simply wire it to your TV).

The various models of theRadio-Shack TRS-80 are collectors item today. However, the price mentioned in this commercial seems a lot more expensive than Commodore and Atari computers of the time. Yes, Atari made full real computers, not just consoles. However, it does seem cheaper than an Apple II of the time. Was the Model III more expensive due to the built-in screen? That seems likely.

@guyinfl99 Magnetic tape is still used for data backups and data archiving, especially by various branches of the Gov't. The latest IBM standard holds about 5 TB per reel.
