So...if this demo comes off a little harsh, please take no offense. I'm just responding to a few nay-sayers that say my last box of rock shootout was crap, because they were not of the same build timeline. SO....being the gear-man, I got two brand new ones for this demo...and guess what? They're still different! ROCK ON, ROCKERS!! GMD

  • I'm digging the vexter series more overall. Although, in this video, I dug the hand painted version more with the boost engaged. VERY FAIR and accurate demo, in my opinion. Thanks, GMD!

  • yeah don't worry about the haters, gmd...you nailed it the first time, they are different. vexter sounds a bit more saturated through the video. anyway, keep rockin!

  • I like the regular one best it's more Marshally sounding ! Great vid

  • I'm sure it's been pointed ot to you, and I love all yer vids so this is NOT a slam, that there a volume trim inside the vexter ver at least... so there's the potential volume difference explained... they do sound different though

  • @nascarbean

    oops, *+/-

  • @Mesa4Life

Ceramic caps can be =/- 20%

  • You're my go to guy for every pedal I've considered. Thank you sir!

  • what ever the difference is...it's not worth over 100$

  • I wouldn't be surprised if two vexters sounded different as well. Component tolerances are probably +/- 10%.

  • I don't understand how there can be nay-sayers to someone who does great demos of pedals out of his own pocket money and time. It actually ticks me off. I'd like to see those guys do a better pedal demo than GMD.

  • The handpainted one has a nice sweeter tone.

  • VEXTOR - sounds brighter and louder, but distortion sounds smoother

HAND PAINTED - sounds quieter and not as gainy, but sounds grittier

*like always, it depends on what other gear you're using, how all of your gear complements/works against each other, what sound you're looking for, and what you're willing to pay.
