The Beatles began their career largely doing Chuck Berry and Little Richard covers--the idea that others shouldn't touch their songs is laughable. The Beatles are a band of mortals--they just happen to be obscenely talented mortals. I don't rank this as highly as the original, which to me is a nearly perfect song, but in the weird atmospheric style of Phil Collins's early solo work, this is still quite good.
