ESPN's Outside The Lines chronicles the late Louis Mulkey. Mulkey, a former high school basketball coach and firefighter, died along with eight other men in a Charleston, SC furniture store fire on June 18, 2007.

Those brave heroes are posthumously known as the Charleston Nine.

This heart-wrenching tale describes Mulkey's influences on his widowed wife, former colleagues and his players' run to the State Championship. Aired 6-1-2008.

  • ผมดูแล้วน้ำตาไหลครับ ทุกคนในทีมมีความศรัธทาในตัวโคชมาก T T

  • If you look at 1:07 its obvious at the buzzer he still has the ball in his hands!

  • downright humbling and I'm a tough one and I cry

  • Im a firefighter myself, and ill be completely honest i cry every time i watch this. Rest in Peace Capt. You were an amazing person.

  • @lhsbandfreak11 Well year i know thats what I also meant to put in my comment. But I mean it's amazing that it went in and all but everyone is saying that the shot was no good because of the back story and all.

  • IT IS IMPOSSIBLE to take 2 dribble and still have time to shoot in under 2 seconds

  • And to add on to my comment, I should've mentioned not to go off the horn you heard in the video. But you'll see that even the light is on before the release of the shot. Again, right call, right outcome.

  • @vballsballgirl It actually doesn't matter how the ball went in. Just look at Patrick Sparks' game tying shot against Michigan State in the Elite Eight in 2005. But what made the shot not count was that the ball didn't leave the Spartanburg player's hands before the horn. It took me a good couple of minutes to see if the ref's decision was the right one, and it was. I paused it at just the right spot to see it, and the ball was clearly still in his hands. It was the right call, right outcome.

  • @tigerfan252525 Evedently the shot wasn't good if the refs said it wasn't. It would of been good if it wouldn't of bobbled around in the basket when it hit the rim. but you should leave your negative comments to yourself.

  • AJ Green (Georgia WR) was on that roster... does anyone know where I can find the full roster and their schedule from the 07-08 season?
