Students from the University of Tennessee's School of Veterinary Medicine visited the century farm of Jack McMahan on Tuesday, May 11, 2010 to learn how to care for large rural animals. There is widespread concern that too few vet students are choosing rural practice in recent years. The students are all receiving their doctorate in veterinary medicine and must do rotations working with large and small animals.

  • why do you think it's cruel? you can't tell a cow to stand still so you can give it an injection. cows are not that fragile. people aren't either, although some act like their ass is of glass...

  • Poor cow :(
