Thanks so much for this, it was incredibly helpful :)

@ArtemisHuntres I've never made a corset before, but I've learned a bit about it at costuming workshops at sf/fantasy conventions. It doesn't seem like you need anything special - maybe just a zipper foot for sewing right up the the edge of the boning.
Good luck!

Thank you! Great video! I'll be looking for a new machine soon, my current project, I think, plum wore out my sewing machine that I had purchased used 10 years ago. And it's not all that great. So I appreciate your video.

hi, i want to know what machine would be best for sewing clothe?

@drea7147 Really - all the brands have machines that are excellent for sewing clothes. Just go in and test them out to see which one feels most natural to you to use. Remember - you don't really need anything fancy. For sewing most clothing all you need is a straight stitch and a zipper foot. A zigzag stitch and stretch stitch can also be handy - and you don't need a top of the line machine for those.
Good luck!

I want to start a little business.
It's just drawstring backpacks. What would be my best bet as to a sewing machine?
Also have never sewed before.

@biggotum For drawstring backpacks you don't need anything fancy - just a straight stitch and zigzag will do for you. I can't recommend a specific model (the models I actually own and use are all discontinued) but go to a sewing machine store and try some out. The main thing to remember is that you'll be using this A LOT. You don't want anything that's too noisy, that makes the table shake, that has buttons or knobs in places that are awkward for YOU to reach. Take your time and test drive!
