Ahh, the thrilling spy games of giant tech and media companies!
It seems not everyone is excited about the prospect of Google Fiber, the Gigabit fiber network being rolled out in Kansas City as an experiment in ultra fast Internet. According to GigaOM, Time Warner Cable is promising its Kansas City employees $50 to spy on Google, to "share tips, rumors and rumblings about Google construction or launch activity."
Google hopes to provide the city with a 1Gbs network, promising speeds 100 times faster than current broadband access. Will Time Warner learn anything that can help their business? If they're as terrible at spying as they are as they apparently are at providing cable service, Google should have no problems.

The only people saying we dont need google fiber is the jerks who are charging me damn near 100 dollars for .54 dial up internet and phone! Id b happy to pay 100 dollars for fiber internet so I could utilize my 60 inch wifi and my kids can use all their little gaming things aswell.

This doesn't sound like the greatest spying job.
