@thug11onze There was to be a remake of this game for PS2, but cancelled after merging Squaresoft and Enix (Square Enix) to focus on the Final Fantasy X-2

This demo was awesome.

I'm a big FF fan, but I'll be honest:1, 3, 7 & 8 were the only ones that were special and this one was my favourite.

Nothing but great memories from this game.I'm waiting for Square to come back to form but doubt it'll happen. Sadly the final fantasy games have become more and more image-obsessed, contrived and soulless since they went fully 3D with FFX.

These games were awesome because of the great characters and unbelievable plot lines. Not cool character designs.

If you look closely, it looks as good as FFX just with better anti-aliasing and smoothing (maybe because its from a devkit). I want an HD upres of this game.

This brought so many tears to my eyes now. Final Fantasy VIII is part of my life.

After so many remakes of other FF titles, i think it's pretty fair to remake/continue FFVIII. I think it would be the best selling FF title ever made, also being a joy to the FFVIII fanbase and to other players with open mind enough to try other games without any prejudgement.

And if Squall is emo, Cloud looks like a girl...

@gridergirl I agree, but sadly recreating an entire game world in HD 3d graphics, remastering the sound from MIDI and adding dialogue will take TONS more time and money then simply changing the resolution on exisiting 3D FF games on the PS2 :(
