I have a 2006 and I used to do my own tune-up from my old car. If you do this mod, how much advance timing will you gain. Unlike older cars, recommended set timing is at 8 to 10 degrees with an aid of the timing light.

hey thanks man, got this car for four years and didnt know anything about it. its running a little stronger.

yup push it down and tighten them back up. Dont go to tight its plastic and will crack. Hand tight with a little more turn is good.

from what you're saying is first lose up on the two bolts and push the sensor down, don't know about car's so little more information will help. my mazda 3 is a 2004.

i guess you're right, my mazda3 is a 2007 model and its allready pushed all the way thru like if it was a button.
thanks for your time

Ive just tryed to do that on my car, actually, im posting this comment at my mechanic's PC.
BUT i noticed that my sensor is allready pushed all the way down... But i can see in this video that it also has like a clockwise movement done.
Please, can you make a detailed explanation video of how to do it?
Thanks :)

You see if the sensor is already pushed down to the max

haha its easy if you move the shield out of the way to! Correct tools only make it more easy!

Thats pretty much detailed as it can go. You just losen the sensor bolts and push the sensor all the way down and tighten the bolts up. Some newer models already have this done
