  • Hey Sam, when i was in circuit analysis class or E.S.T., I remember that in order to transfer maximum power between stages in an oscillator or amplifier.....the impedence should be equal. Point being... that if the winding of the wind turbine are about 85 ohms and there are two sets wired to the D. bridges in seperate inputs and parallel output....

Try the 2 lightbulbs in series for a higher resistance recieving load. i did see 400 volts open. impedance is like resistance.

  • @muddymuddymuddmann excellent suggestion, i will try it in the future. i hope i dont hurt myself in the proccess.

    thaNKS Scott.

  • I thought for sure you were gonna blow the light bulb this time. great testing video.

  • scott, i thought that too, but no go. i have been lazy these winter days, i have done nothing since fall, i hope to get into it again.

that was great to here from you, by the way, i am going the next step on my v8/v6 vawt, the next step is to change the blades to an airfoil style blades. it will take alot of money, but i am hoping not to stall mid way.

Scott, one of us must make it.

    best regards

  • Very interesting video. Are you planning to connect it to a dc bulb? I want to make one like your experiment. It seems fun. Thank for the video.

  • it was fun to make, maybe in the comming warm days i could try few dc batteries.

    regards

  • Awesome testing, but this would take a pretty massive Vawt setup to spin that motor that fast, but I think that would be a nice challenge. I know where you can get that kind of wind all the time!

  • Naaah! your to organized to slip up that bad. Me on the other hand..... I've always got new scars. notice the bandage / cast made with super glue in the carving of west coast dougs prop or was it the 4 bladed. I tried to cut my finger off with the sawz all. saftey tip never guide the blade with your soft little fingers. lol

  • I believe we both will make it. i'll carve the blades if you want. and I believe if you go down to the dollar store and get the cheap 40 watt bulbs, you may be able to blow one. those cheap 40 watt bulbs dont last long anyway.

  • i connected the 2 phses in series to add the volts.
