Difference between Makara Jyothi / Vilakku - CNN IBN

All Religions have their own poetic, symbolic expressions. As true Indians, we respect all religions too. Like Virgin Mary, & Divine Birth of Jesus Christ is a poetic expressions, like Prophet Mohammed's (PBUH) marriage with Ayesha of age 9 is beyong mere literal expression, Makara Jyothi / Makara Vilakku is also a poetic, symbolic expression.

Makara Jyothi is the celestial star, Makara Vilakku the symbolic lighting of deeparadhana in Ponnambalamedu.

There is a purposeful negative campaign against Sabarimala & Hindu Beliefs. As Secular Indians, I believe we should not target one particular community & attack. We should understand the indepth, complicated, delicate details of any religion before attacking it.
