I remember my Dad singin' this song an' he's been gone a long time now, i was a boy then, now i'm 60 somethiin'. Waylon does a great version of this song he probably heard itas a boy too.

I love that 12-string sound. I think if Herb Alpert had a better understanding of Waylon he would have had another major money-maker for his label.

Hmm..never heard this version, nothing against ole Waymore, but I like his live version of this from "The Restless Kid" better.
