We look at the spec and rotation for an Arcane Mage, and analyze the testing results via Recount. All testing is done against a raid boss dummy with no buffs besides basic class abilities. Gear is level 333 premade junk.

Arcane is an overly simplistic and, frankly, boring rotation that involves stacking Arcane Blast 2-3 times and then hitting Arcane Missiles to clear it (or Barrage if AM doesn't proc in that time). You will also want to rotate armors, starting with Molten Armor and 3 stacks of Blast, then switching to Mage Armor and 2 stacks once you get low. Once Evocation comes off of cooldown, switch back to Molten and 3 stacks. Once your gear gets good enough, you might be able to stay on 3 stacks/Molten full time.

The addon used to track cooldowns and debuffs is DoTimer.

I think they now nerfed mages because I use this rotation and my mana can't go down past 3/4 max mana

whenever I use a macro it never works , only the first spell casts and then nothing else does why? only frost bolt works,

example

/cast Frost Bolt

/cast Pyroblast

/cast Polymorph

Dont use 3 AB try to double cast arcane blast, arcane barrage.. That should proc your missles which u can double cast with barrage pyro blast or ice lance and that will reset you missles rinse repeat....... 40k dps

im sorry but all u need is arcane blast and barrage maybe missiles sometimes but for my raid group im always top dps with my arcane mage with about 85 to 90k dps
