@Masutora A FKO helps you win the round in one hit. It's not necessary to use, and it's not mandatory for you to win a match by using it. There are times in which they have strictly an artistic purpose and you do them for the fun of it. Other times they come in handy when you are one hit away from losing your life and fight and the enemy has full health.

Are Fatal KO's necessary to win the match? I remember in one of the old SNES games you couldn't finish a match without using a special.
