Jane Crawford Intro: Jane grew up with her adoptive family in Mount Isa ,Queensland. Her real mother Pam is a well known aboriginal artist in the Northern Territory and it was not until an arranged meeting in 1986 that things suddenly changed for Jane. Already having obtained a bachelor of arts at the University of Queensland and working on a number of inner city projects Jane settled back with her mother for a year. Absorbing all the traditional methods of indigenous paintings combining with her own style Jane began to create and sell artworks in galleries around Darwin and Alice in the late 80's early 90's. JC's art was first showcased in the aboriginal art gallery during the Brisbane Expo in 1988 (where we met) and since has sold to galleries worldwide. In 1995 Jane had an illness which made it too hard to paint and only in the last couple of years she has returned to "the thing she likes best'.
