Such a soothing rendition of verse soaked in vatsalyam, a mother's love for her baby.

It is incredible that a male - Kulasekara Azhwar - was able to completely transform himself into a mother and reflect her feelings so authentically. This adds strength to the belief "sthreeprayam idham jagat" - this world is female looking to unite with the single 'purusha' i.e. the Lord.

The rendering reminds me of Sri Lalgudi Jayaraman's bani on violin.
